McFarlane Toys follows up the most exciting NBA Playoffs in recent memory with the announcement of our NBA 12 lineup. It features three of the top players from the playoffs, a pair of top-flight point guards and the most consistently improved player over the last five seasons. NBA 12 includes the Finals MVP, the Rookie of the Year, the All-Star MVP, and five players from the All-Star teams.

GILBERT ARENAS -- Only four players averaged more than 29 points per game last season, as Gilbert Arenas found himself in an exclusive club with Kobe Bryant, Allen Iverson and LeBron James. Arenas has been steadily improving his game since his debut with Golden State in 2001 -- increasing his scoring average every season from 10.3 as a rookie to 29.3 in 2005-06. Although Arenas hit more three-point shots than all but one other player last season, he isn't your typical "mad bomber," as he averaged more than six assists and two steals per game. He followed up his sensational season with an even better playoff run, pouring in 34 points per game and leading the Wizards to a near-upset of the Cavaliers in the first round.

CHRIS PAUL -- Andrew Bogut, Marvin Williams and Deron Williams didn't play poorly in their rookie season, but none of them made the impact of the fourth-overall selection, Chris Paul. The Hornets' first-round draft pick rewarded his team by turning in a brilliant season and earning the NBA Rookie of the Year award. Paul led all rookies in scoring and assists, while finishing fourth among rookies in rebounding as well. The Hornets' "dual citizenship" last season made believers out of hometown fans in New Orleans and Oklahoma City as well.

ELTON BRAND 2 -- The Clippers turned in their best-ever season in 2005-06, and plenty of credit goes to All-Star forward Elton Brand. The Clippers' best player turned in his best season, scoring a career-high 24.7 points-per-game. Not only did the Clippers come within one game of the Western Conference Finals in their deepest playoff run ever, but they eclipsed the Lakers to become the best basketball team in Los Angeles.

DWYANE WADE 2 -- "Flash" made the most out of his first trip to the NBA Finals. After scuffling in a pair of Finals-opening losses to Dallas, Wade took over -- scoring 42, 36, 43 and 36 points to deliver four straight wins and Miami's first NBA Championship. So the only question left after leading the East team to victory in the All-Star Game, and winning the Finals MVP while delivering a title to South Beach is, what will Wade do for an encore?

LeBRON JAMES -- "The Chosen One" added an All-Star MVP award to his trophy case in 2005-06, but he turned more heads by dominating in his first-ever trip to the NBA Playoffs. LeBron's regular season earned him second place in the league MVP voting, but he stepped up his game in the postseason. James outdueled Gilbert Arenas in Cleveland's first-round win over Washington, then took the defending champion Pistons to the limit in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

TONY PARKER -- NBA titles are nothing new for Tony Parker, but the 2005-06 season brought him something new -- an invitation to the All-Star team. San Antonio's point guard turned in his finest season, scoring a career-high 18.9 points while returning to the playoffs, as the Spurs have every year in Parker's career. With a new Sports Picks figure on the way and a Desperate Housewife on his arm, it's definitely good to be Tony Parker.
